I’m trying to use the oembed field in a shortcode, but no matter which code I use from here or anywhere on the web, I can never get the video from Vimeo to embed.
When you paste the Vimeo embed code in a page, it works brill, but not so in any php call I can find.
The emded looks file in the editor (custom post type), and I can get other fields from that same field group, but the oembed is a no-go for me.
Do you manage to get it work with other oembed like youtube videos ? It used to work on my website for years but it finally won’t work since few days (weeks maybe …?)
Nope – never figured it out.
I think it’s a bug introduced by an update because it was working fine before. Now, as soon as you try to add an oEmbed (such as a simple YouTube video), you can no longer see the video preview in the article editing interface or on the website itself. It’s as if the iframe is no longer being interpreted. I have tested on seveval sites with the same faulty result.
