I was trying to set up a Field Group, inside a options sub page with some conditional fields, so the conditional field would only show up when the True/False was unchecked, the problem is that it set the field as required, despite me not setting it as required or even by me setting the option to 0. (This was configured in code)
No matter what, the True/False field was required, so it would only allow me to save the options if the field was checked, which beats the point of it.
This wasn’t only happening with the True/False that were used in the conditional later on any True/False is required on the options page by default.
If anyone else runs into this issue my solution was using a Select field and later on translating that into a boolean. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
