Sportcode for Themify

  • Hi there!

I’m using your plugin on a site with a Themify theme and I’d like to avoid editing the template’s code. According to their support forum, some shortcode should work with their “Hook Content” tool but I need to show a complete field group. Could you provide the code for that?

I started using your amazing plugin recently and I must say, it’s very easy to use, except for the fact, that the documentation doesn’t really explain the whole process from getting and installing the plugin to displaying the fields and the data in front-end. I’m probably not the only one, who gets the plugin to avoid messing with code and then surprise 😀

Thank you so much in advance!
    Kiki

  • I’m not the developer, just a user. ACF is designed and built for people that modify template code. There is really very little that you can to with it, other than using some of the extremely simple text field types in shortcodes, if you’re not going to be modifying template files and doing coding. While it doesn’t say this over on the WP repo, the installation instructions to say to read the documentation and it shouldn’t take much of that to see that it will take coding to use on the front end https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/

Here is the documentation on shortcodes https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/shortcode/

I don’t know what “Hook Content” is, so I can’t help you there.
