I recently had to upgrade an ‘image’ field to a ‘file’ field to accept more filetypes (mp4s for complex animations), and one big loss is that the client will no longer see the thumbnail when in the post edit view. Is there a way to hook into the ACF backend to say if this attachment has a thumbnail show that rather than the unfortunate wp-includes/images/media/default.png ?
