Set repeater rows based on value of another field

I would like to configure the a repeater field to automatically populate it’s rows based on the value of another field. I’ve mocked this up in the attached screenshot. “Groups” is a multi-select where the user would choose taxonomy terms, once selected I would then like the “Group Specs” sub-repeater to populate with a set of rows which correspond to the terms selected.

Do you have any advice on how I could accomplish this? Thanks for the help.
