Relationship Field – Add a button to create related post if one does not exist.

Hi,

I have a couple of custom post types,

• Customers
• Order Forms

When I begin creating an Order Form the first field is a relationship field to link the Order Form with a Customer.

9 times out of 10 the Order Form is being created for a new Customer, whilst editing the Order Form, if the customer does not already exist and thus not show up in the relationship search field, can I create a button and subsequent form to add a Customer whilst editing the Order Form.

Basically, if the customer don’t exist can I create one on the fly without leaving the Order Form post type edit screen…

There is a plugin that will do this. https://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-and-easy-post-creation-for-acf-relationship-fields/ It’s not something that you can do with just ACF
