I have a large database with user-facing forms for submission, all works well except the post object form is case sensitive, however most users type lowercase.
Is there a way to tweak the post object search field so that it returns results without matching case?

As far as I know, the search that is done is a standard WP search on the title and content, which should not be case sensitive. The only thing that could make it case sensitive is the collation on the DB is set to be something that is case sensitive.
