Permanently deleting image from image field

Hi,

I have added image field to posts and when I click to edit the image that is assigned in the field and then permanently delete the image the edit modal window remains open and the image is not removed from the field until the post is reloaded.

Is this meant to be this way or is this a bug? If it’s bug is it in ACF or WP?
