Option to disable backend map for Google Map fields

We have a LOT of locations in a repeater, which makes the backend page REALLY slow.

I’d like some way to improve this. For instance by disabling the map. It’s no problem if I have to enter the serialized string manually. (actually I already extended the unserialize to handle json too)

What’s the easiest way to fix this?

Thanks for the post.

The easiest workflow in this case would be to change the field type from a map field to a basic text to enter the serialized array.
