Non-used fields still saved in wp_postmeta

Hello.

First of all a big thumbs up for a great plug-in!

I created a group with five fields where all fields are “True/False” and not required.

I noticed that if I save a new post that does not make use of my group, these fields are still save in wp_postmeta. Is this by design or I can switch it off?

The same applies for “Text” fields – even if left empty, they are saved in the table, with an empty value.

Also, if I add a new field at a later stage, will all entries in wp_postmeta be updated to add the new field to old posts?
