New to ACF | How to use

Hi,

I am new to acf and new to wordpress. I have been using joomla for the past 10 years.

I have installed this plugin and i am wondering how to implement it to a template.

What i have done so far. I have created a group and added a selct field. If i understand correctly i have to add some php code to the template where i want to show the select field. Correct me if i am wrong.

My question is. Where can i find the code what i have to add to the template. I saw the section of API but i do not understand it.
