How to do this ? Must i use an external plugin ?

Yes. Basically what you need to do is find a JavaScript gallery that has the functionality you want and then code your template to output the images in the gallery in the format needed for that gallery script. I’m assuming here that when you click on or hover over one of the thumbnails that the large image changes and this will require some type of javascript to do.

Finally found a great plugin. Frontend Gallery Slider For ACF.
Just fill your ACF gallery name and insert a shortcade in your template file.
For a few $ (6) you can get the pro version providing more sliders templates and features.
