Customising layout of ACF fields

  • I’m using a large number of ACF fields on a custom post type and finding that the layout in the WordPress dashboard is a little ‘inefficient’ e.g. full-width text fields that don’t need to be so long, and 20+ rows of checkboxes in a single column.

It would be good if I could split the text fields and checkboxes into columns… is this possible?

  • ACF Pro (5) has setting for fields for setting column widths of fields to that they can be placed next to each other.

The checkbox and radio fields can be set to horizontal layout (this is also available in ACF4.)

Beyond this you would need to add custom CSS in the admin for your post type.
