Checked boxes by default not working in repeater

Title explains it all. I am trying to make my checkboxes checked by default, however they are displaying unchecked on the options page I have set up.

These checkboxes are nested inside of a repeater if that helps with troubleshooting.

Included in my screenshot is the checkbox value I am trying to set checked by default. I am only using one option in my checkbox field currently.
