Can't clear "required" if turning field to message

If I have a required field, say a text field, and I for one reason or another turn that field into a message field instead, there is no way to clear the “required” options and the asterisk even shows up on the front page for the message field. Not a huge deal to fix (just switch back to text, uncheck, switch back to message) but I thought I’d report it anyway.
