ACFE Button SUBMIT ISSUES

Hello , we have a rather complex form that open a repeater with flexible content in each repeater item that is edited in a modal , to make sure the users save often we added an ACFE Button left on the default setting (which i believe is to submit by AJAX). The issue is since the button does not refresh the page after the form is saved the File fields remain in their initial state so they keep uploading the same file over and over , I understand why but cannot figure out how to update the file field values after submit in an easy and robust way.
