ACF – Block Spinning Wheel – Undefined Index

  • we are experiencing an issue each time we place an ACF block on a page. We get a spinning wheel and nothing every happens. Clicking on edit or preview makes no difference. Once we update / publish the page and refresh, the form displays correctly.

    Why would this be occurring?

This is the error in our WP log file
Undefined index: id in /wp-content/plugins/advanced-custom-fields-pro/pro/blocks.php on line 598

We also receive a JS error
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘form’ of undefined
    and
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘preview’ of undefined

We have tried installing the plugin as well as updating to the newest version. Both to no avail.

  • I’m encountering the same issue since updating the plugin, although the form never appears. (The JavaScript error always appears in the console.)

  • I’m getting this issue too when adding blocks in the Customizer. “Uncaught TypeError: e.data is undefined” happening within acf-pro-blocks.min.js.

Edit: I didn’t realize how old this thread was. For reference, I’m using 5.9.9. I don’t think I had this issue in the previous version.
