A "Custom blocks for Gutenberg" plugin?

I was wondering, are there any plans on extending ACF or creating a new plugin where users can create custom blocks for Gutenberg?

Those of us not used to React or developing admin interfaces in JS, have a steep hill to climb when it comes to creating custom blocks for Gutenberg, and a plugin like ACF for that purpose, would be awesome.

Is there a timeline for the release of ACF Blocks? I’m currently spinning up two projects right now, and ACF support will likely be a huge factor in whether or not we support Gutenberg.

My guess is that it will be ready when gutenberg is merged into WP or shortly thereafter. I personally would not depend on this being competed before then.
