5.6.1 – Select2 Dropdown body attachment in popups

  When ACF is used in a modal in the wp-admin in the new version 5.6.1, the select2 menu is being attached to the body which is pushing it behind in the modal. In previous ACF versions, it would attach to the same container as the ACF fields.

  I’m not sure if this is considered a bug, but it does require additional CSS to modify it for the use case of putting ACF fields in modals.

  Since ACF version 5.6 ACF now makes use of select2 version 4 by default, perhaps this could be the cause.
