  • You would need to either create your own acf/pre_save_post filter (instead of depending on the one ACF uses by default) https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/acf-pre_save_post/ or an acf/save_post filter https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/acf-save_post/. In this filter you would need to call the WP function https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_set_post_terms or https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_set_object_terms.
