It’s possible that your server doesn’t have the resource to do the upgrade process. The 500 Internal Server Error is a very general HTTP status code that means something has gone wrong on the web site’s server, but the server could not be more specific on what the exact problem is.
Could you please check your error log and see if there are error messages? The error logs usually have detailed information regarding the issue. If you don’t know where to find the error log, kindly get in touch with your hosting provider.
