Maybe there’s something on your site that prevents the notice from showing up. In this case, could you please change the theme to one of the WordPress’ stock themes (like Twenty Sixteen) with only ACF activated? If the notice shows up, then you can upgrade the database and change the theme back and activate the other plugins again.
If still no joy, could you please open a new ticket and provide temporary admin credentials to your site? You can open a new ticket here: https://support.advancedcustomfields.com/new-ticket. Also, please don’t forget to backup your site, explain the issue again and provide the link to this thread.
