I’m afraid I can’t help you much with this kind of issue. I’m sorry about that.
Another thing you can do is assigning all of the capabilities to your custom role and see if you can upload images on the front end form. If you can do it, then you can disable the capabilities one by one to see which ones that are required. After that, you can search them in your template.
