I’d love to be able to figure this out so that I can help other people with the same issue. The problem is that I have never been able to reproduce the problem on any site.
1st steps, have you tried deactivating other plugins and changing to one of the default 20XX themes? Does the same thing happen with a basic theme and only ACF installed?
