I never tried Shopp plugin, so please forgive me if I’m wrong.

If Shopp uses WordPress standard taxonomy for the category, you need to add special ID to get the custom field value. This page should give you more idea about it: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/get-values-from-a-taxonomy-term/.
