Okay, not solved (and I don’t seem to be able to ‘unsolve’ this thread) as it does seem to be ACF related.
Whenever I upload an image via ACF image field/sub-field the image doesn’t load up properly, which in turn then seems to break the Featured image and then standard Media Upload if I don’t delete that corrupted image upload 🙁
