I would also love to see this feature – at the moment I have a “Publications” custom post type with a taxonomy for the various kinds of publications (Book, Journal, etc). I also have field groups relating to those publication types, e.g. Book-specific fields like num pages, city published, etc. Would be great to be able to hide those when “Book” isn’t selected.
