That plugin has been around a while, it’s another option. As stated above, two way relationships have issues and are not really be done inside or repeaters, groups and flex fields. Adding this to ACF would take a major rewrite of how ACF stores data. Meta Box adds tables to the database for storing information which is something that the original developer tried to avoid.
