Thanks again for the bug repot.
The issue is a miss-use of the default_value setting.
Please change 'none' => 'Do not show related posts.', to 'none',.

The issue here is that the default value is meant to be an array of values, not labels.

Hope that makes sense.
Changing the above will fix the issue!
