noob question: where do i customize code?

  i see a lot of forum posts upload code, but idk where to go customize them. pls help

  Code usually goes in template files in the theme. It depends on where the fields are located and your theme what files need to be edited. Filters and actions usually go into your functions.php file.

  so if i’m displaying a form in an elementor template, i need to look for the elementor template’s file? or do i go to the theme template?

  If your using elementor the you need to look at the documentation for elementor. I don’t use this myself so I can’t really give you any advice in this area.
