I looking fo a solution to provide a searchfield for my users where they can enter their zip an get the closest shop in their area. All shop positions are stored via the ACF Google Maps field. Is there any out of the box solution for this (seems to be a quite common issue)? I just found this post http://www.bobz.co/display-posts-google-map-radius-latitude-longitude-acf/
Is this really the (only)best solution?

You might want to look at some of the older discussion here that mention map fields. I sorta recall a topic where an out of the box solution for this was mentioned but can’t remember when, could have been a week ago, could have been several months.
