Adding a custom field to a widget

  hi,
  I’m recently discovering ACF and I love the potential of building custom fields in wordpress.

  I added a custom field url to an article and on the front end I have a widget that shows a button.

  I’d like this button to link to the custom field url I added the post.

  Is this possible? I tried with the shortcode [acf field="my-custom-field"] but the button doesn’t work.

  The reason for no answer is that it is not very clear what you are trying to do.

  It sounds like the “widget” edited under “Appearance => Widgets” and the field you want to use on the post. If this is the case then what you are attempting to do will not work unless you build a custom widget that can get and use the value from the post.
