Limit output ACF-field

  Hi,

  I’m using Elementor Pro.
  I’d like to limit the amount of characters of a ACF-field. Only output.
  Just like the option for the basic WordPress summary-field. Screenshot below shows the difference.

  

  How can I limit the output of a ACF-field?

  I cannot tell you how to do this with elementor.

  To do this in PHP you would use an acf/format_value filter for the field

  Thanks, but unfortunately this does not work.
  I would like a maximum amount of characters, in stead of maximum width.
