Hey Elliot –
I am running into some speed issues on one of my sites. If you have a look at the following screenshot, you’ll see there are 53 DB queries: http://content.screencast.com/users/talavou/folders/Jing/media/e25aa6a1-f4b8-4d69-94af-fc4f387b5b08/00000088.png
Is there anything I can do to either lower these queries, or cache them?
Thanks a ton!
Rich
I’m building a website that uses acf heavily… and was just wondering the same… I was thinking on maybe using something like DB Cache Reload https://github.com/ivankristianto/DB-Cache-Reloaded-Fix
Have you tried it? which tool are using in that screenshot?
Hey Onyx – that screenshot came from my webhost: WPEngine. I can ask what they are using.
I think I read that ACF5 saves all data to a static JSON file that can be called instead of querying the DB, which is likely a very smart move for sites with large ACF implementations. But, for now, I’d like to see what else is available
ACF field values are loaded through wp_cache_get if cache is available for that object. I’m not entirely sure how this affects normal ACF calls, or if ACF makes other database queries outside of getting field values… but it’s a promising thought.
wp_cache_get
can be seen in action at advanced_custom_fields/core/fields/_functions.php:309
.
Did you tried that db cache plugin? did wp engine told you what are they using to give you those stats?
Thanks
