Just curious, is it possible to import advanced custom fields from a previously exported php file?
I often use the PHP export featured on my production sites so ACF isn’t visible or editable but if I ever lost that local ACF versions how would I get them back?
Hi @emaildano
Google shows a github repo containing a plugin to import via PHP:

Thanks

Looking for the same, the recovery plugin only works for v3 of ACF 🙁
Hi @yummytummy
Thanks for the follow up. It looks like there is no 3rd party solution available for this limitation.
Perhaps you could look over the code above and modify it to work with v4?
Thanks
E
Hi @elliot, i stumbled across https://github.com/iamntz/acf-recovery which is supposed to work with v4 but the script tries to run do_action (acf/update_field) before this action has been registered by ACF.
If you’ve got any suggestions on how this could be fixed it would be helpful.
@yummytummy: Hi! I’m the author of that utility. Please see my comment here: https://github.com/iamntz/acf-recovery/issues/1
Thanks!
@yummytummy and @Ionut Staicu,
Thanks for following up!
