Since upgrading to the latest 5.1.4 version of the PRO plugin, a taxonomy field I have in my CPT is not loading anymore. I have to re-enter the value every time I save the post.
The field is set as Taxonomy with ‘select’ option and the ‘Load value based on the post’s terms and update the post’s terms on save’ is checked.
Is this a known issue? The taxonomy is a custom taxonomy of the CPT.
Just chiming in to say I am having this issue as well since the 5.1.4 upgrade. No values are being saved no matter which option to choose the term is being used.
Hopefully this past issue (marked as fixed with 5.1.4) will be resolved with this fix as well: Taxonomy fields within Repeater fields
Thanks a million. I just tested it and it is all back to normal as far as I can tell!
Elliot many thanks, however I have just updated and I still have this issue. Its worth noting I have multiple taxonomy fields within the edit post area.
I have to second RichB I am afraid! If we can help out by testing, please tell.
Running 5.1.5 as well and taxonomy fields are not loading for me either. Like RichB, I have multiple taxonomy fields in the edit post area–with 4 ACF fields covering 3 custom taxonomies and the built-in category taxonomy.
The taxonomies all have data as seen in the database and quick editor, but they’re showing as empty within edit post and saving the post with them empty clears the taxonomy values that did exist.
I’m seeing the same as eboles above. If the meta data stored in the custom field doesn’t match the post’s taxonomy data (for example, if the post’s taxonomy terms were changed using quick edit), the field is displayed as empty on the edit page.
Don’t want to stress too much, as I know Elliot is a busy man, but a customer of mine is asking for a fix. Any idea what might be the problem yet?
