Not recognizing Post Type Formats following upgrade to Version 3.5.5

The upgrade to version 3.5.5 has caused the advanced custom fields to not recognize post type formats. We used to be able to check off the format boxes for video, audio, etc. and then our custom fields (ie. field groups assigned to post > format > video/audio/etc.) would appear on the add/edit post screen. With update 3.5.5 the custom fields no longer show up.

I'll test this out. I can confirm that I have not changed any location code so I don't understand why this would happen. Has any of your code changed regarding post formats?

I've found some code which was causing the error! Not sure how long this has been around but it was preventing the format location rule from working!!
This has been fixed in the latest nightly build

Hi Elliot,
I'm having this or a similar problem with 3.5.7. I have custom fields for video and gallery post formats, and I need to select the post format first, then save the draft before they show up. If I swap the rule to category, it works as expected, loading/unloading the field once the category is checked.
I've reproduced this also on a local install of wp3.5 with twentytwelve and no other plugins.
